The work we’re doing with Kaipara Moana Remediation is a concerted effort – we are now building different partnerships and joint initiatives to scale up riparian and wetland restoration in the catchment.

In December of last year, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Te Uri o Hau Settlement Trust to work on nursery-based employment opportunities in the rohe.

Our work with Fonterra and the Tiaki partnership has had great uptake with a number of dairy farmers and their sustainable dairying advisors working together on farm improvement plans.

We are also progressing potential partnerships with a few other New Zealand and offshore programmes – it is exciting to see how much support there is for KMR’s kaupapa, and we hope to be able to announce some new partnerships soon.

We will also be hosting some partnership days across this year to get to other agencies, industry bodies and those involved in various aspects of the Kaipara Harbour, there will also be some community open days so you can come along and ask questions.
