Conservation Week 2022
Conservation Week/Te Wiki Tiaki Ao Tūroa 2022 is underway right now. This year’s focus: how we can take action for nature. The kaupapa of the KMR programme is aligned with taking action, planting trees and building fences. We’ve been out getting trees in the ground at Manukapua Island and will be out planting in Tinopai this week with a few members of the community.
Conservation Week 2022 encourages New Zealanders to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a fresh prospective on the unique spaces and wildlife of Aotearoa.
Led by the Department of Conservation, there are a number of ways you can help take part, at home, for little cost.
If you’re wanting to take part, and talk to us about how we can help boost your conservation efforts on the land, sign up to take part in a our summer fencing campaign, to get yourself ready for planting in 2023.
