KMR and the Ballance Farm Environment Awards

Kaipara Moana Remediation was honoured to be showcased at the 2024 Ballance Farm Environment Awards in both the Auckland and Northland regions.

Hosted by the NZ Farm Environment Trust, the Ballance Farm Environment Awards champion sustainable farming and growing and celebrate good environmental practice across 11 regions throughout New Zealand.

Award entrants go through a rigorous judging process, with finalists invited through to a regional Awards ceremony, including those held in Northland on 20 March and Auckland on 21 March 2024.  At each regional event, winners are announced for various award categories alongside a regional Supreme Winner. Supreme Winners go through to be considered for the Gordon Stephenson Trophy at the Trust’s National Showcase in Hamilton in June, and a chance to become National Ambassadors for Sustainable Farming and Growing.

KMR presented at the start of both Awards to a room full of passionate farmers, growers, rural professionals and interested community members, and highlighted our progress two years into delivery, celebrating the nearly 600 landowners and groups working with us.

In Northland, three of the regional winners are working with KMR, with the judges acknowledging KMR’s support for these inspiring landowners in their journey to improve their land and waterways:

Greg and Claire Collins – Emerald Hills, Kaipara

  • DairyNZ Sustainability and Stewardship Award
